This
year's contest attracted a good
71 contestants from all over Singapore. All
contestants were given full opportunity to present their
talent in front of a full-house audience during the
preliminary round. Only 16 solo and 4 duet contestants
made it to the Final. Based on the Judges' comments, the
standard and quality of the |
|
competition was very high this year. With the
aim
of providing a guide for contestants to improve their
performance further, we sent each contestant his or
her Judges' score and comments by post.

|
Some special features of the Contest are:
1. Qualifiers to the Final and Winners of the Contest were decided
upon based on their total aggregate
position given by all 3 judges. Thus, the contestant in
the final with the lowest total aggregate position is the
Winner. 2. Video clip of each
finalist was presented before the contestant did his/her
song presentation. This carried a maximum of 10 marks.
3. Each finalist had to pick an impromtu question from an

envelop and answer it verbally after his or her song
presentation. This portion carried a maximum of 10 marks
and was taken as the X-factor that Judges were looking
for. |
