On 14 February 2003, Malam Silaturrahim or Friendship Nite was organised in conjunction with Hari Raya Haji. Besides providing an opportunity to meet and get to know more residents, it was also an opportunity to promote the MAEC and to attract more members. Fuchun MAEC's kompang group was also launched that evening.
