Esplanade Outdoor Theatre from 8 to 10 July 2011 in the

inaugural Muara – Pesta Tari Melayu Singapura 2011.

Evolving from traditional and folk dances, 7 established

local Malay dance groups together with 68 schools will

perform creative works reflective of Singapore’s fast

paced metropolitan lifestyle.

With the theme, “swaying the past forward,” the 3-day

festival aims to provide an additional platform for dance

practitioners and enthusiasts to showcase current works

on a larger scale to a bigger audience and at an

internationally recognised venue.
